Champagne Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top

Founded in 1785, Champagne Heidsieck & Co Monopole is now one of the oldest champagne houses in the world. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was particularly valued by the European royal families and the Russian tsarist family. In 1916, 3,000 bottles were sent to the Russian ruling family in St. Petersburg. The cargo, along with cognac and burgundy barrels, never arrived because it was sunk by a German submarine. It was not until July 1998 that 2,400 bottles of Heidsieck & Co Monopole from 1907 were salvaged. Today, the champagne house Heidsieck & Co Monopole is one of the most successful champagne brands in Europe. Sensory description Light yellow with slightly green reflections, clear perlage with many elegant pearl necklaces. The Blue Top is a fruit-dominated champagne. It smells of tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple. A fruity, sweet opening introduces the taste experience. This is followed by a good structure and a firm body, surrounded by fruity aromas of pineapple, passion fruit, orange, peach, apple, pear and a colorful multi-fruit mix. Food recommendation The combination of Blue Top Champagne and fruit salads tastes excellent. But it also goes well with fish curries or fried chicken with mandarins.
